We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative word of God for the Christian faith and for living. Unchanging moral truth exists and is such defined by the Bible.
(2 Timothy 3.16 & 2 Peter 1.20-21)
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28.19-20 & John 1.1-4)
We believe that Jesus Christ, born of an earthly virgin, was both God and Man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to conquer death and empower us for life. He is the only one who can reconcile us to God.
(John 1.1,14; 1 Timothy 2.5 & Matthew 2.18)
We believe though originally good, man willingly fell into sin. That sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. Man’s only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
(Genesis 3. 6 & Romans 5.12-21)
We believe that man is saved by grace (undeserved and unearned) through faith in Jesus Christ and through His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a free gift, not something we can earn.
(Ephesians 2. 8-9; Galatians 2.16 & Titus 3.5-7)
We believe that because Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, His blood shed for us on the cross is sufficient to cleanse us of all sins when given individually through repentance and faith. Jesus allowed Himself to be punished for the sins we have committed, enabling all who believe to be freed from the penalty of sin, which is death.
(1 John 1.7; Colossians 1.20 & John 1.29)
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a “new birth”, we must repent (turning away from sin in every area of our lives) of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
(Acts 2.38 & 3.19)
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Every believer is an integral member of the body of believers.
(Ephesians 1. 22,23; 2.22 & Hebrews 12.23)
We believe that after receiving the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded in the Bible to be baptized in water in the name of Jesus.
(Matthew 28.19 & Acts 2.38)
We believe that Holy communion is a special time in the presence of God when the elements of bread and wine, representing the body and blood of Jesus Christ, are taken by believers in remembrance of His sacrifice on the cross.
(1 Corinthians 10.16, 11.23-25)
We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are a normal part of any believer’s experience. We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the church, and serve the community in which we live.
(Acts 1.8; 8.15-16, 10.46, 19.6 & Mark 16.20)
We believe that sanctification is the ongoing process of being set apart for God. Once we are saved (justification), we begin a lifelong process of yielding our lives to God to complete Christ’s ongoing character development in us.
(I Thessalonians 5.23 & Romans 8.29, 12.1-2)
We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is a privilege of all believers.
(Isaiah 53.4,5; Matthew 8.16,17 & James 5.14-16)
(Note: This does not imply the false idea that immediate and supernatural healing always accompanies true faith. Healing can sometimes also be a process that is finalized by entrance into heaven).
We believe Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His kingdom. This happens at an undisclosed time according to the Bible.
(Revelation 1.7; Acts 1.9-11 & Matthew 24.30)
We believe that Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross. One day all believers in Christ will also be physically resurrected in glorified bodies to their reward in heaven.
(Luke 24; Phil 1.21-23 & 1 Corinthians 15. 42,44)
We believe that heaven is the real and eternal dwelling place of all who believe in Jesus Christ.
(2 Corinthians 5.1; 1 Peter 1.4 & Hebrews 11.16)
We believe that an eternity in hell is the just and final judgment of all those who have rejected Christ.
(Hebrews 9.27; Matthew 25. 41-46 & Mark 9. 43-48)
